The 2001 Sailor Moon Challenge will involve a complicated session of hundreds of contestants vying to become the best loved protector of Earth...Sailor Moon!

Quallifying contestants will be expected to write an essay on why they should be chosen as Sailor Moon, Protector of Love and Justice! The top 50 contestants will then move on to the next part of the contest...Vocals.

Vocals is the second part of a long series of contests that will finally determine the one person quallified to be Sailor Moon! Contestants will be expected to have memorized the beginning and ending songs from at least 3 seasons of Sailor Moon (either English or Japanese won't matter.) and be able to Sing them perfectly without missing a word. 25 contestants will be chosen from that group and will go on to the next stage of the contest...Sailor Moon Trivia.

Sailor Moon Trivia will ask the contestants questions about the author, voice actors/actresses (both english and japanese), production/publishing dates, differences between Japanese Sailor Moon and English Sailor Moon. It will also ask questions about villains such as who was the villain in Season S, and which order villains appeared in each season, and other questions, some pertaining to the past or the future of the world. Ten contestants will be chosen out of this contest to go onto the finals...

The finals...

There are two stages to the finals.
Stage 1 will be the fashion show. Contestants will be expected to have created different costumes worn by Sailor Moon through out the five Seasons. Each contestant must then model each costume they created individually. Cosumes will be modeled in this order:


In Stage 2, each contestant must state the reasons they should be chosen as Sailor Moon - Champion of Love and Justice. First, Second, and Third place winners will then be chosen.

All contestants will recieve a free Sailor Moon T-shirt, and a certificate of Merit verifying that they were contestants in the Sailor Moon Challenge.

Second and Third place winners will recive a Sailor Moon Gift package which will include: Sailor Moon Stationary, and Calligraphy pens, 4 Sailor Moon Posters, a Sailor Moon Lunch pail and thermos, 2 decks of playing cards, and a complete set of Sailor Moon Trading cards, including the rare foil cards.
The first place winner will recieve all of the above, plus autographed copies of all of the Sailor Moon Manga, his/her own transformation pen, a chance to star in the new "live action" Sailor Moon T.V. Show coming out in the fall of 2002, and a personal handshake with the great author of Sailor Moon herself, Naoko Takeuchi!
